Mission
The mission of the Ph.D. and MSc programs in our school is to train competent experts who can provide both educational and treatment services
In these programs, students will get familiar with laboratory hematology and transfusion sciences skills and obtain the competence for education, research and laboratory diagnostic services in different health fields at national and international levels.
Vision We envision the department of Hematology and Blood Banking as a leader in Hematology and Blood transfusion education and research. We hoped that graduates of the Ph.D. and MSc programs will be employed in suitable jobs and play their roles in society. It is necessary for the educational group to have international relations with foreign universities so that the country reaches the most favorable level in the field of hematology. Undoubtedly, the effect of the establishment of the field of hematology on the laboratory systems of medical, educational, research centers and the launch of new technologies in the country can be seen.
Aim The general goal of training PhD in blood transfusion sciences and MSc in laboratory hematology is to provide scientific and efficient staff for universities, research centers, medical centers, especially bone marrow transplantation and cell therapy departments, as well as providing technical managers of hematology laboratories in the country in the field of hematology.
Specific Competencies and Skills At the end of the program learners will be competent in the following skills:
Admission Requirements for PhD program Specific Requirements: Degree in Doctor of Medicine (M.D), Degree in PharmD, Doctor of Laboratory Sciences and Doctor of Veterinary or Holders of MSc Degrees in Laboratory Hematology and Blood Banking, Medical Immunology, Pathobiology. Duration: 4 Years
Admission Requirements for MSc program Specific Requirements: BSc in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, BSc in Molecular Biology, Pathobiology and Immunology. Duration: 2-3 Years
